Hubpage Tutorial: How to Create your First Hubpage Great

There is a saying that goes: "first impression last." Creating your first hubpage great could make a good impact on your profile and attract more fans. It also creates excellent impression from readers who shall start following your succeeding hubs; this is also one way of increasing more viewers to your hubpage. The more views you have, the higher your earning potential from Google adsense and other affiliate programs like Amazon and Ebay; hence, it is highly ideal to make your first hubpage your masterpiece.

The first thing you need to do is to create a layout for your Hub; such as the number of text and picture modules, how many affiliate modules you need and other stuffs you want your Hubpage to have. Once you are done with that, you can proceed to start creating your first Hubpage.

Step 1: Press the [start new hub] button at the upper right hand corner of Hubpage

Step 2: Fill up the required information about your hub such as the title, hub url address, topic, lay-out, and tags. Remember to include the keywords in your title, hub address and tags.

Step 3: Click Continue Button

Just a note about your hub capsules. Remember I ask you to prepare a lay-out of your hub? that will determine how many text and photo capsules you need. If you want to have 5 text capsules, then click on the TEXT capsule 5 times. Do the same for your photo capsules, ebay amazon, and other capsules you want to be included in your hubpage.

Take Note: If you prepared to publish a 500-word article or content, it is best to divide them into capsules and place sub-heading/title for each capsule. This will make your hub SEO-friendly and easier to read for your readers because they have a general idea of your whole content.

Once you are done with the required no. of capsules, organize them using the capsule ordering module located at the right portion of the hub. Just simply drag and drop each capsule according to your wish. Once you are done with that, save your works by pressing the [Reorder Now] button at the end of the module.

Step 4: Reorder your capsules using the Capsule Reordering editor located at the right portion of your hub. Once you have organized your capsules according to your lay-out plan, click on the [Reorder Now] button located at the lower portion.

Step 5: Place the content or your articles on the Text capsule and upload your pictures on the photo capsule. In filling the content with your article, click on the [EDIT] button of your text capsule and paste your article on the body of the capsule. Also fill in the title for that capsule.

Now, perhaps one the main reasons why you are creating a hub is to create a link to your site and you want to make that link within your article body as text link. The first thing you have to do is to press the [EDIT] button of your text capsule where your article is located. Within that capsule, there as a [HTML]button on the upper left corner of your text editor toolbar. Click that button and it will lead you to a HTML page where you can edit and place your link. Look for the keywords you want to link your site and insert this HTML Code:

<a href="your site URL">your Keyword text</a>

Replace the word 'your site URL' witht the URL of your site and the words 'your keyword text' with the keywords you have chosen that will direct your readers to your site when they click on that words.

Adding photos to hubpage will increase your hub score and it also attracts more visitors to stay longer with your page and read every word of it. When adding photos, it is highly advisable to rename your photos with the keywords for your article. This will improve your ranking because search engine web crawlers can catch this keywords in your photos and include them in search results for photos with that keywords.

How to add photos? Just simply press the [EDIT] button of your photo capsule, fill in the title of that capsule as you may desire. Select the source of your photo-computer or web. It will open a drop down menu that allows you to browse your file. If you want to add another photo, click on the add another image link. After that, select the SIZE OF YOUR PHOTO according to your desire, you may want it to be in full size, half or quarter size. Once you are done click on the [Load Image] button. Wait for your photo to appear and then click [SAVE] button at the upper portion.

If you want to create a hub that looks like this: Gift Ideas for Dads. You will notice that the lay out shows a split text and amazon photos to showcase the suggested products on Amazon at the right portion, while the left part is the text description.

To do that simply edit your photo capsule, look at the toolbar and you will notice that there are arrow signs. These arrows allow you to move the capsule according to your planned layout. Press the arrow pointing right and it will automatically move your capsule towards the right side. Consequently, the next capsule below moves up to the right portion. Hence, make sure that your capsule layout should have a photo capsule followed by the text capsule. You can also rearrange your capsules using the up and down arrows.

One good thing about Hubpage is that it gives you the opportunity to earn as affiliates of Amazon and Ebay without having a site or blog. You can do this by highlighting the products you want to promote within your hubpage. To do this, just follow the steps:

• Click on the Amazon or Ebay capsule and look for the capsule at the bottom of your page.(At this point you should know where you want to place this ads capsule within your hubpage as part of your layout plan)
• Click [EDIT] button of your Amazon capsule
• Type the title of your capsule (optional)
• Choose between the two buttons: [Choose your own Product] or [Use Keywords]. It is much easier to use [use keywords]. I suggest you use this and click the button.
• Choose how many products to display. 1 to 10; ideally 3 to 5 and don't put too many products as if your main purpose is just to sell.
• Type the keywords related to the topic of your hub content or keyword of the product you want to promote
• Click [Preview] button- it will automatically generate the products related to your keywords
• Click [SAVE] button

At this point, your hub is almost done and you are ready to publish it. Before doing that, make sure to edit your Hub and check for errors. Also, add more tags to your site to increase its ranking in the search engines including hubpage search engine (which is the main source of visitors at this point) in order to attract more visitors. After doing this, you are finally ready and its time to publish your excellently done first Hubpage.

Final Step: Click the [Publish Now] button located on the upper portion of your page and Publish your site.
